What This Is:
The eSPOMagazine.com Web Support page is a site designed to help beaglers better their web experience. Here you will find tips and tools to help maintain and protect your computer, and also facilitate you during your web experience. Keep in mind that eSPOMagazine.com and the American Beagler take no responsibility for any harm done to your PC by any products recommended on this site. Sorry, but we also cannot provide individual support for users or their PC's.

Antivirus
Below are a few recommendations for Antivirus software. There is a free one listed that I have not tried, but I reccomend AT LEAST having this installed on your machine.

McAfee Antivirus http://us.mcafee.com	The McAfee vs. Norton battle is something that we will all see until the end of our days. Both products cost about the same ($50 - $60) and both require a subscription fee for updates (1st year free). You WILL need the updates to keep your machine safe, but whichever you choose you will be well protected against almost any virus. You can also look into their firewall options.
Norton Antivirus http://www.norton.com
AVG Antivirus http://www.grisoft.com	I have not personally tested this, but I have heard that it works fairly well. There is a FREE version out there, and it does come with updates. If you are not willing to spend at least $50 for virus protection, then I recommend at least downloading this.

Spyware/Popup Ads
These are all a HUGE problem. Below are a couple of recommendations that I have for cleaning them off of your machine. Believe me, there is a lot more spyware running on your PC than you think. Spyware does not "Spy" on you necessarily. It is currently used heavily for market research, simply logging and reporting back to a server what sites you are viewing. This is used by large corporations to better determine where to place what ads. It is also used to "sneak" ads in here and there during your web surfing. Spyware is not harmful to your PC, yet it does cause a significant impact on the speed of it.

Ad-Aware http://www.lavasoftusa.com	One of the most popular Spyware/Ad cleaning tools. Easy to use, free and commercial versions available, updates available free of charge.
Spybot Search and Destroy http://security.kolla.de	A little harder to use than Ad-Aware, however it is more thorough and completely free of charge. Free updates available.
