wanted to let everyone know that i got a call from Shine Armstrongs daughter today. Shine passed away after a 6 month battle with cancer. Shine owned FC Flatlands Smokey for awhile and ran beagles his whole life.He wasnt shy about stating his opinion which rubbed more then a few the wrong way but he mellowed towards the end, i will miss talking hounds with him.He was a loyal friend.
prayers go out to his family. |

Neal,
Although we knew it was probably coming it is still hard to accept. I ran dogs with him a few times after he "mellowed".
Sorry to hear it.
You will always have the memories, how about the one after he got Smokey and ran him over at the dump and the rabbit went up next to the highway.

Shine was a good friend of mine, I sold him Flatlands Smokey. Always enjoyed talking to him. I will keep his family in my
prayers.

Sorry to hear this, I know by all the stories you've shared with me you will greatly miss him. I've got some of that Smokey blood in my kennel. My prayers go out to his family and friends. Hopefully we can get together to run dogs soon so you can tell me a few more stories.

| Neal very sorry too hear about Shine as you know most of what I run came from him. He treated me good and I always enjoyed the time I spent with him talking or running dogs. As you say he was not afraid to express his opinion but, rather you liked it or not it was an honest one. And I respected him greatly for that. My prayers for his family also. God Bless Him!!! |

I knew Shine for years.Clear back to trad. brace and his big male Shine's Bojangles. Rest in peace my friend and as hunt6 puts on all my e-mails.
"When you get to heaven all the hounds you ever loved will come out to greet you" May God comfort Shine's family at this time of sorrow.
