These dogs are going to be the foundation of my breeding program.

FC Russell Creek Reapers Brew

Hi-Tech Owned by Mr. Chuck Hamrick, Enterprise, Mississippi

On top Hi-Tech is off Shogun Run Boudreaux. Boudreuax is off Backroads Buddy and Fair Bottom Brook. (Almost solid Blackcreek). On bottom he is off Black Bayou Bell. Bell is off FC Chases Ace II and a female off FC Oak River Decker.

Hi-Tech and all the offspring of Bell are super jump dogs and have really good mouths. They run a little more rabbit than I like, but the hunt and mouths make up the differnce.

I also have a female direct off FC Cranks Chicken that I really like. I might breed to Chicken or FC Rapid Run Lil' Get Down on It since he is closer.

Also, Terry Nelson's Shooter Dog (Black Jack and Pro); Mr. Frank Bailey's Cherry Creek Hawkeye (Otis, Shorts and some Blackcreek); and the Brinkley's FC Goodwater Buffalo Bob (Brew and FC Shorts Pro Dee).

Any other suggestions?

What do you mean they run more rabbit than you like?

Brew looks good and Hi Tech looks just like Little Bell. He is also a good looking dog! I think what Wendell means, is that with the foot comes a little room for some error, if you now what I mean. The stock of dogs have an exceptional nose and that can flat out fun a rabbit with the intent to catch. Error: they will do a little snatch and grab and get a little wide in the check. They are exceptional gun dogs. Wendell is wanting to cross this on Brew. Brew will but the natural flow and line control in the pups!

Brown,

That was a bad statement on my part. If they run the line and don't reach too far on a check, there is no such thing as running too much rabbit. In my opinion. They are overly agressive and over run the check too far. What I meant to say.

Wendall,

Another one I would look at is Cherry Creek Bushwhacker.

I hunted over Hi-Tech here in Kansas about 5 years ago. He's got some power.

I think Buck ran him in a couple of trials, but I'm not sure if he has any wins or places. I'll ask Buck when I talk to him.

I owned Tech for a good while. He can solo a rabbit as good as any dog out there. He has an awesome mouth. I trialed him twice with no luck.

Buck,

Do you know the reason he did not place? Too fast, I assume

Wendall,

Buck may have a different opinion, because he owned him and saw him run a lot more than I did. My opinion is that he was the type of dog that wanted the front and he was going to get it. If he was running with dogs that didn't challenge him for the front, he did fine. If he got with dogs that put pressure on him, he would get rough. One thing for sure, he's a rabbit dog.

We have a half brother to this male that is probably one of the best males I have seen run in a long time. He has the same style as this male sounds like. He is out of Boudreuax and a bitch off Buddy. I wish I could find me a male like him that weren't so dang big. LOL

Chris, next time we run I want you and Wendell to watch Ole Cobalt run. He is a pleasure to hunt.

Wendell how big is this Boudreaux male???

Terry, Wendell is on the coast. The male is around 14 1/2 if I remember correctly. He is a full littermate to the Lil Bell female I have and runs about the same style. Wendell just text me and said he was walking on the beach wearing a THONG! That should help the workers that are cleaning up the oil spill pick it up a step. He said he would send a picture and I told him that is what a bunch of beaglers wanted to look at!

Wendell said he couldn't keep the woman away, so Vickie made him take it off.
